New Projects

Beginning Students
Learn to draw anything using basic shapes.  Students are shown how to draw each subject
matter (wildlife, landscape, object) line by line and shape by shape. Several projects will include
creating subjects in clay.  This will give the students an opportunity to explore shapes in 3D.
Basic color principles are introduced.  Students are taught proper use and care of art materials:
pencil, color pencil, oil pastel, watercolor paints, clay and acrylic paints.

Intermediate Students
Students will have individual projects along with instructor guided projects that review basic art
principles and techniques.  Instruction on how to see and create what you see is introduced
through still life projects.  Basic principles of composition are explored by the study of other
    artists.

Teen and Adult Students
Students will have individual projects that are self directed along with reviews of basic principles
and techniques.  Instruction on how to see and create what you see is emphasized through still
life projects. Students are also challenged to explore what they have learned and create
    compositions from their imaginations.

Creative Writing/Art
Older students  enjoy merging their writing and art.  This class is open and limitless for the
artist/writers to create.  Past students have written a short stories that included detailed
illustrations of their scenes and characters.  Students also create comics or just enjoyed the
